2009 – The First Year
2009 will always be a year I hold dear. It isn't because the videos I made were spectacular, but rather because of the history it shares with my personal life. 2009 was the year I met Daniel (DFGHulk). It was my 7th Grade year. The 2009-10 School Year started on August 31, and this was when I met Daniel. He and I were classmates. We befriended almost immediately, and our friendship seems to grow stronger with every passing day. Okinawa Karate with Winsor was posted by the time I met him. The first video I posted while I knew Daniel was Astrological Zodiac.

2010 was in many ways like 2009. It may have been the start of the 2010s, but for me it was still mentally the end of the 2000s. I had plenty of free time to make videos in 2010, and I still didn't have a clear direction for my channel; I was just posting things for the sake of posting things. It was in 2010 that I entered adolescence, though puberty didn't quite hit me until the end of 2010. This year marked the first year that I made rants, as well as the beginning of the end of my use of Anime Studio 5 and 6. 2010 houses a good chunk of my most popular videos, including the infamous Funny Dora series. The Dora series accounts for about 52% of my overall views. You do the math.

2011 was the year that I gained the most views. 2010 saw a good rise in views, but 2011 is what made the number skyrocket. I consider 2011 to be the year that marked the beginning of my current channel, since it showcased my first commentaries, films, and even my voice. This was when puberty struck me hard, and I naturally began to make smarter content choices. I began to narrow down my content variety in an effort to give my channel a clearer identity and direction. That identity is basically what my channel is right now, and it all started in 2011. Thanks, 2011 me.

2012 was a bit of a slow production year. Moving up to high school meant less time to myself, and so I couldn't make as many videos as I could before. It was hard to recapture the wave of popularity I gained in 2011, and as it turned out I'd never ride that wave ever again. There isn't much to say about 2012, other than the whole December 21 apocalypse thing that (obviously) never happened. However, 2012 is when I finally used downloaded videos to commentate on rather than recording the audio to commentate on them, so I guess that's something. Also, 2012 is when I started this blog, and it's the year I received my camera.

2013 was by far a slow production year. The laptop I'd used to make my 2011 and 2012 videos suddenly stopped working, and I didn't get a new laptop until December 5. Hence, for the majority of 2013, I relied on iPod uploads. However, during the summer, Daniel and I noticed Barney's Great Adventure was available on Netflix. We'd heard about it in 2011-12, and we really wanted to know what the movie was actually like. Hence, I grabbed my camera and filmed our reactions to the movie in real time. This gave rise to the Barney's Great Adventure review series, which proved to save my channel and gain a large following. At the beginning of 2013, I had 84 subscribers; at the end of 2013, I had 174. This is an undeniably large subscriber jump. If there's anyone to thank for my current fanbase, thank Daniel. He saved my channel. It was during this time that I began attending college alongside high school.

2014 was definitely one of the better years of my channel. Not only did it have a bigger subscriber surge than 2013, but it also saw a revived amount of video production almost equivalent to that of 2011. Also, this was the year that Daniel, Cooper, and I began actively working on movies and unfinished projects. Two movies were in production in 2014, with the second one being finished in 2015. Thanks to the efforts of 2011 and 2013, my channel has gained a decent amount of popularity, even though my subscription count was under 300. Still, 2014 was a relatively sunny year for my channel.

2015 held my rudest awakening. It was during this year that I made changes to my personality, becoming a better student and a more mature person. The year started uneasily, as I was put under academic probation at college due to a low GPA. I passed two of the three classes I took from January to March, with the failed class being English 101. However, due to my passing the other classes, I was taken off of academic probation. When Spring Quarter arrived, I took English 101 for the third time and Poli Sci 101 for the second time, while also taking Precalculus 2. The entirety of May and early June was marked by my severe emotional instability, as worries of my failures began to pile up. However, I passed all three classes. Graduation occurred on June 4, though I lacked an English credit; I didn't get to graduate with the Class of 2015. I was devastated, and the next few weeks were marked by depression and self-loathing. However, I got my chance to earn my missing credit; Summer School started on June 29, and from there I worked on my last credit. I began to change my work ethic so that I could ensure I passed my class with flying colors. This, in turn, improved my personality and my outlook on life; I was finally able to shed the wings of despair. I passed Summer School with a 96%, allowing me to graduate. However, things took a sudden turn for the worse on August 23; on that day, I received a call from a friend's mother demanding me to remove videos from my channel. Emotions began to run on autopilot, and insane drama ensued for the next few months. This left me shaken, depressed, and unmotivated to make any content. My channel lay dormant until November 8, and with the germination of my Yume Nikki let's play in mid-December, things began to improve once more.

2016 began with some private videos being made public again, though a few still remain private. Things were still somewhat tentative, but progress was occurring nonetheless. However, the videos that were made public again were flagged down by Cooper's mom, though the drama that ensued was very much stunted. By the time March arrived, things seemed to be going back to normal once again, much to the relief of myself and DFG Hulk. This would only be for some time, though, as Cooper's mom tried to flag a reposted video again on April 7. Five days later, she flagged a video posted on DFG Hulk's channel that was part of DOtOF Series 4. Lo and behold, Cooper's mom was starting to flag my own best friend, the same friend I'd known since we were in 7th Grade. Things got even more personal at that point. Then, after I was enlightened, I realized that my perception of the flaggings was completely wrong, and that I just made a mountain of a molehill. I decided to do what was right, and I encouraged DFG Hulk to do likewise. At long last, the stress I'd undergone since 2015 was finally concluded. This was further remedied by a week-long trip to Kona, Hawaii, from June 24 to July 2. Upon finding my headset again and helping DFG Hulk with some projects, I got back into making videos again. Eventually, DFG Hulk and I noticed that Cooper was beginning to post videos again. This inspired DFG Hulk to announce this event and me trying to make some videos public again, though as of now we don't know what'll happen. The Crappypasta Graveyard series, which debuted on August 18, turned out to be a surprise hit that was commended by a SOG Wiki admin. Things improved further upon youngbloodfantasy91's return to livestreaming on September 16. I got the chance to join the live Hangout call the next night, and after nearly 7 years of being his fan, I finally got to talk to him directly. It was surreal, and it pushed me to do my own livestream series Hanging with Dollar Store Hobbes (thank you, SoySus15, for the name) starting on September 19. I began to be more active on Skype and befriend new people. Things surely were looking up. However, my headset had shown evident mic problems, though I got it taken care of. 2016 finished off with me and my Skype chums just having a good time together. What a good year this was.

This year started off with me making a big choice: To join the military. The recruiting process lasted from January 5 to January 17, and I was off to Fort Benning, GA, on February 7, where I underwent Basic Combat Training. I had almost completely forgotten the life I left behind, though when I got to my Advanced Individual Training station in Texas, I was able to get back in touch with my friends. Things were mostly stagnant on my channel until October 2017, when I made a video calling out ThisIsntNotMetal's online behavior. This was followed by a commentary on Smartass Birb and a follow-up video discussing Smartass Birb's antics. Things were all well and good until November 28, when Dan Roxas and I got into a fight with Illiniguy34. What followed was a commentary by Dillin Thomas picking apart my Smartass Birb commentary. When I responded with my rebuttal commentary, things escalated in a way I hadn't seen in a while, if ever. Lots of mudslinging occurred on both sides of the argument, even after I blocked Dillin on December 6. This was perpetuated by Dillin's 41-minute response to me, which he posted on December 18. Since then, I've resorted to just letting the fire burn itself out (however long that will take) and staying quiet for some time. What a sad way to end the year...

2018 – The Year of Brooding and Redemption
I spent much of 2018 dealing with the aftermath of December 2017. While I was able to graduate AIT and arrive at my first duty station, I was having a lot of trouble coping with the ensuing depression. This caused me to become bitter and standoffish online, while IRL I was quiet and completely diffident. Upon my 21st birthday on May 12, I began drinking beer to numb the pain, to the point where I became an alcoholic. However, my heavy drinking stopped in early June, when I drunk enough beer to get moderate alcohol poisoning. I'd begun seeking psychiatric care to help alleviate my depressive symptoms. When the CommDB & CC Wiki drama broke out late in June, my hostility towards the CC began to rise, to the point where I left the CC on September 22. As the following months passed, I began to regret my bitterness. This led to me rejoining the CC on December 1, with the goal of expanding my horizons as a commentator and being more well known in the community. By this time, I was awaiting separation from the Army due to problems maintaining weight.

Good fucking God, this year was rough. Rougher than 2017. At least that was only bad for one month. Trouble came a-brewing when I published my commentary on Neros Q. Off-and-on spats led to my hiatus in April. I came back in May and published a co-op commentary featuring 8363MTR and it ended up being a huge success. Then I got threatened with a lawsuit for appropriating someone's art in a parody piece. Cue more spats. In October, I had to take another hiatus because things were just getting too hot for me to handle. I didn't come off that hiatus until 2 days before New Year's Eve. On the plus side, I got to experiment more with both my commentary style and the way I make and use my own backgrounds. This was also the year I made the most commentaries, owing to my membership within the Cloud Palace and thus being more in touch with the CC. All I gotta say is the '20s better be good. CHRIST.
