A New Color Scheme!?

That's right, after 3 years of being the same color scheme, I've finally changed the blog's color scheme. I felt the old scheme was a bit too gaudy, so I changed it to a softer scheme. It still follows a green motif, though I've given it a scheme that I feel will be easier on the eyes. I'll give you a side-by-side comparison of the old design and the current design below. Feel free to comment with your critiques.

Take care, everyone. :)

DOtOF S4E1

Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you the official sequel to the Puyallup Fair Adventures (DOtOF S1E2). This time, there's less emphasis on getting to the rides and more emphasis of going on the rides. We even give you a first-person look on them! While we didn't go on many rides, we still had some fun. Hopefully, you guys will enjoy it. Stay tuned for more of DOtOF S4!

Filmed on October 4, 2015.

A New Video!?

Yep, I'm ready to get back into the groove and make videos again! Though there are still a few technical issues that still need to be sorted out, I'm happy to say that I'm officially off my hiatus.

To celebrate, I've posted a new video to my channel.

"The Coyote and the Hulk: Greek Yogurt Taste Test"

If you want to know what's been going on, I'll have to keep that under wraps for now. Just know that, in the mean time, I've been helping DFGHulk edit some videos. He'll have them on his channel as soon as he can. Expect a video montage of his adventures in Vegas (yes, he went to Vegas) to pop up on his channel in the near future. Until then, I'll see y'all later. Take care. :)

Important Update: The Conflict Concludes (mostly)

As of now, things have been sorted out. DFG and I have moved past the situation, though Darth still seems to be working past it. DFG told me that Darth doesn't want anything to do with me anymore. Darth is fine talking to DFG, but Darth doesn't want to even see my face anymore. DFG tried to talk him through things, but he wouldn't budge. If you want the exact reasons why, I'm afraid I'll have to keep that undisclosed.

Despite this issue, DFG and I are still friends, and we're ready to get back behind the wheel again. Our hiatus is concluded.

Another Important Update

I just thought I'd let you guys know that, because of the events of last week, my friends and I have hit a massive slump. We have no idea what we're gonna do now, since most of our projects have been abruptly cancelled.

DFG feels like it's all his fault for convincing Darth to join YouTube, though I feel completely at fault for convincing both of them to join YouTube to begin with. We had no idea that things would blow up like this so quickly, and we still feel extremely on edge and with no drive to make anything anymore. Because of everything, I'm not even sure that I'll make another one of my regular videos ever again. I just feel so guilty.

Does this mean I'll wind up closing this account? No. However, it may mean I'll end up not making anything for a while. For now, consider me on a temporary hiatus.

Thanks for still supporting me through these dark times, you guys. It really means a lot to me.

Important Update

So, Darth's mom asked me to remove videos that feature Darth's and DFG's respective houses. (Apparently, showing footage of one or two rooms is enough info for someone to track us down.) She told me that, if those videos weren't removed in 3 days' time, she'd get in contact with my parents. While I don't agree at all with this, I've had no choice but to comply with her request.

All of Darth's videos are gone, his channel has been set to private, and DFG's channel has been set to private. Rather than go under the radar, I've decided to keep my channel public, though at the expense of making some changes to my videos.

As of now, only 1 video has been deleted. It was DOtOF S2E2, and it was for good reason; I did not want that on the Internet. In addition, most of the content that features their houses has been set to unlisted. If you want to see those videos, you'll have to ask me for the link via my messages. Affected videos include Ode to a Beloved Bed, Barney: The Aftermath, Cooper Gets Pranked, and Short Vlog: Wall Phasing and Problem Solverz.

I've decided to keep the Barney review series public, since I know you guys really like that series. I'll still be able to film stuff with them in other locations, but I won't be able to film stuff at their houses. This means that Last Action Sci-Fi Thriller has been cancelled, and it'll be harder to post any future DOtOF videos.

Please forgive me for this. When life gives you lemons, it sometimes squirts them in your eyes instead.

Best regards,
~ Gil

(UPDATE: 26 Aug 2015, 11:07 AM PDT)
I've decided to make the affected videos private, so that only DFG, Darth, and I can see them. You guys already know the reasons why.

Yume Nikki 3D Ending!

Yep, we've finished Yume Nikki 3D. We've also perused the extra stuff in both the game and in the DLC, which will finish off the Yume Nikki 3D saga. However, the DLC footage is on Daniel's computer, which is currently afflicted with a nasty virus (I blame his obsessive downloading of mods, though he disagrees), so it'll be a while before I get that edited. It should be fixed this week, though.

Anyway, here's the video.

"The Coyote Plays: Yume Nikki 3D (Part 3)"

Stay tuned for Part 4 (where we show the DLC), and take care. :)

New* July Videos

*I'm a little bit late on this one, so you can't quite say these are all new. They're recent, though.

I have two videos to fill you in on, in case you missed them.

This one details footage of a live goose and duck sighting in my area:

"Goose and Ducks"

This one is footage I recorded of me giving my final speech for Summer School:

"Speech: My Experience with Bullying"

The latter video is much more emotional than the former, so it watch at your own risk.

Otherwise, that's all for now. Take care, and thank god Summer School's done.

Impromptu Rant Incoming!?

Just a quick rant I needed to do in order to avoid conflict at summer school. This is a rant on people who don't want to work for what they have, instead wanting to succeed without having to do work. These people with no work ethics are known as freeloaders, and some of them unfortunately attend my summer school class.

"The Coyote Rants: Freeloaders"

It is what it is.

NOW that's all for today. Take care. :)

Yume Nikki 3D Let's Play Part 2!

I've decided to post this one early because I know I will be busy with homework and 4th of July stuff this weekend. Summer school's been going good so far, save for a row of freeloaders behind me who don't want to do the work (one of which I almost got into a fight with today), and I think I'll be able to pass with at least a B+ or A-.

Anyway, here's the video.

"The Coyote Plays: Yume Nikki 3D (Part 2) [SEIZURE WARNING!]"

I'm not sure why the video lags a little in this one, but it'll have to do.

That's about it for today. Stay tuned for Part 3, and have a great 4th of July! :D

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Yume Nikki 3D Let's Play 2 is almost done!

That's right, the second part of the Yume Nikki 3D Let's Play is almost done. I should have it done by Independence Day, which is when I intend to post it. Consider it a Fourth of July special instead of a 6th Anniversary special!

As for summer school, it's been going okay thus far. I've been keeping up with work (which there will be a lot of for the next three and a half weeks, but I believe I can do it), and I've managed my time a little better. I personally think I'll do just fine, and I'll manage to retrieve my full English credit. Once that's done, I'll be set to get my diploma in August!

Anyway, stay tuned for the video!

A Bowling Montage

Yep, it's finally done!

"A Bowling Montage"

I'm bored. I'm tired. I'm out of words to say. Take care.

P.S. Summer school didn't start this week; it starts next week. D'oh! >.<

UPDATE: New and Important Information

Okay, so I haven't graduated yet. However, I just need to catch up on one full credit and I'll be able to pick up my diploma in August. As is confirmed to happen now, I will start summer school next Monday. It's one class from 8 AM to 12 PM PDT, with times for breakfast and lunch. This won't do much of a number on my video production, so don't worry too much about that; I'll still be able to keep my current schedule for making and posting videos.

As for what'll happen between now and one year from now, it's still a little bit hazy. I'm definitely going to get a job to get me some extra cash I can use for college tuition and helping my folks pay the bills. I'm still not sure what job I should do. I'm also not sure if I want to complete my AA at TCC in the 2015-16 academic year or the 2016-17 one, though I can sort it all out once I finish summer school.

As of right now, I'm in the process of writing a political essay, with some help from a friend. I'm doing so out of my own volition. The essay is a critique of current American politics. It makes statements that democracy is dying in the USA, and that it's our duty as the People to revive democracy, raise benefits for the poor, and raise taxes on the rich. I'm still not entirely sure what political ideology I categorize as, though at the moment it seems to be that of social democracy. I also intend to write a tome describing my political ideas, where they work best, and how they can be implemented. Perhaps I can make videos about each of these things once they're done and once I get them published. That will have to wait for later, though. If you're wondering about these things:
  • The essay is titled "Neo-Totalitarianism in America: A Critique of American Politics"
  • The tome will be titled "The Phoenix Plan: American Democracy Reborn"

That's about it for now. Stay tuned for the bowling video (and potentially my political videos), and take care. :)

Cooper Gets Pranked!

Well, here it is! We've finally pranked Cooper!

"Cooper Gets Pranked!"

I do have to say that it was a fun experience. This is my first and only time I've done this kind of prank on anyone. What should I do next? Hmm...how about post the aftermath!

"Cooper Gets Pranked! (Aftermath)"

There we are.

Well, anyway, that takes care of that. Stay tuned for the bowling montage, and take care! :)

The whole Barney review series in one video!

Here it is! This is the entire Barney review series compiled into one movie-long video for your enjoyment.

"Barney's Great Adventure (1998) Review (All 4 Parts!)"

Here are the four separate parts of the review in case y'all don't feel like watching them all in one video.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Stay tuned for the other two videos, and take care. :)

P.S. As of now, Part 1 has about 7,100 views, while Tails Doll Finds an Apprentice has about 7,700 views. It looks like the reign of the Big Six (i.e. my top 6 viewed videos for the past few years, which includes the entire Funny Dora series) is close to its end. Granted, it'll be a while before Part 1 becomes the next Funny Dora Part 2 (7,100 has nothing on 79,800), but it'll come when it does. Thanks for your continued support!

Spontaneous video post!

Clayton Condo, a fan of the Barney review series, asked me earlier today if I could upload the entire review series into one video. I said that I could do it (remembering I had the whole thing already sorted out since December 30, 2013), and so I'm doing it now.

Please don't think this will distract from the progress of the other two videos I've mentioned. After this video is posted, I'll have the prank we did on Cooper posted, and then the bowling video will be posted. I'm not sure when either will be posted, but they will definitely be posted during the summer.

Stay tuned, and take care. :)

Exploring an Abandoned Tennis Field

Just a little video documenting me and my friend DaKid on AtWar exploring an abandoned tennis field at our college campus. After doing a bit of snooping, I gathered the following information:
- The tennis field was probably built around 2000 and renovated in 2005.
- Since the latest date found for the field being open is on February 18, 2010, it may have closed during or after the 2009-10 academic year. The field still shows up on the campus map, although it lacks a label.

Feel free to check for yourself:

3 videos in progress!

So, I've decided to postpone the 6th Anniversary special to a later date. Maybe I can do it on Black Friday, since it's a "holiday" that I think is garbage and the video I'll tear apart is garbage!

In the mean time, I'm in the process of creating three videos. One of them is a compilation of bowling videos, another is a video documenting an exploration of an abandoned tennis field, and the other one is a video detailing me and DFGHulk pulling a prank on Darth Vigorous!

Stay tuned, and take care. :)

P.S. I must add that DFG's dad, anewactor, is visiting DFG from New York. He's been at his house since last week and won't go back to New York until Saturday. anewactor, DFG, and I have begun a short film project that I can't say much about right now. You'll have to find out later.

So, I turned 18...

I'm a little late on this one, but last Tuesday marked the official beginning of my adulthood; May 12, 2015, was my first day as a legal adult.

Some good things about this:
  • I can legally purchase tobacco (not that I'd want to, but I'm sure some would find this a perk)
  • I can register to vote (which I already have so I can be an active political participant)
  • I don't have to pretend to be over 18 to order things from infomercials
  • I can finally watch NC-17-rated flicks (not that I'd go above an R-rated flick)
  • I get to be called a "young adult" instead of a "teenager"
Some bad things about this:
  • I can go to an actual jail if I commit a felony (not that I would, but the threat exists now)
  • I'm still technically not allowed to drink booze (again, not that I would)
  • At age 18, I'm still technically a teenager, though the title "young adult" helps this one
  • New life stage = new responsibilities (no more compulsive mooching off of the folks!)
  • I don't want to grow up, like, ever (nobody really does, anyway)
Yesterday, I celebrated my birthday with some rounds of bowling against DFGHulk and Darth Vigorous. It's through those rounds that I realized I sucked at bowling and Dan is a beast at it (it just takes some time). We do have footage of that event, though I need to work on that still. Some of the footage may already be up on Vigorous' channel.

Anyway, that's about it. Take care. :)

(yes I'm still working on the special. it may be late this year. we'll see.)

6th Anniversary Special is Coming Up!

That's right, I'm already in the process of creating this channel's 6th Anniversary Special. It's a commentary, though I won't say what it's on for now. All I'll say is that you'll find out when it comes out.

Stay tuned on May 21 for the special, and take care. ;)

P.S. How's AtWar going for you guys?

Something very few of you will care about

Since March 31, I've indulged in playing an online game. What game am I talking about? AtWar, an RTS Game that plays like Risk but isn't exactly Risk.

AtWar Home (Register if you want!)
My AtWar Profile (SpaceGuru5)

Just in case any of you want to challenge me to a game of AtWar. I won't go any easier on you because you're a subscriber, so be warned. Just let me know who you are on YouTube.

I'm usually online on weekdays from 10:30 AM to 12:25 PM PT, so feel free to catch me online then.

That's about it for now. Take care. :)

300 Subscribers!

Happy 300 subscribers, everyone! Thanks for your patience with me!

This time, I've done something a little different. I've actually made a Let's Play!

Better than the countdown I made last year with my 200 subscriber special, huh?

"The Coyote Plays: Yume Nikki 3D (Part 1)"

Enjoy, everyone, and thank you for another subscriber milestone! :D

UPDATE: (Almost) 300 Subs!

Jeez, not even a year later and we're at another 100 subscribers; we're looking at a 300 subscriber count happening very soon!

Yes, I'm planning on doing something to celebrate 300 subscribers. It'll be even better than the 200 subscriber video I did last year, though it'll be delayed due to a minor technical issue.

I won't tell you what it is, but all I will say is this: It requires me to make use of Fraps, and my only issue is that I need to pay $40 to gain membership (which will allow me to record for longer than 30 seconds).

Stay tuned, and happy almost 300 subscribers! :D

Sick again

Chocolate's just been really screwing me over this year.

Yes, I'm sick again. It's not nearly as severe as last time (it's probably a cold), and I might be better by Monday. That said, please don't consider me on a hiatus. I'm just trying to focus more on my school work because this is my last shot at graduating in August instead of June. Plus, my voice is sort of gone right now, so I don't think I can record anything. Also, I have to participate in a parade on Saturday. Busy week, eh?

Looks good so far. I'm doing better in English, I'm getting more into Political Science, and Precalculus II is super easy (for now, of course).

I'm just letting you guys know in case there's anyone worrying about me (which you're probably not, but that's fine).

Anyway, that's it for today. Take care.

Saturday, March 28, 2015

Quick Update

Before I start, let me just say that today is DFGHulk's 18th birthday. Now he's a legal adult, and I'm the only one of the Three Losers trio that is still a minor. Sometimes, it's good to be the youngest!

Anyway, I know I've neglected posting things here. I'm sure you guys know why, and I hope you understand why.

Two videos were posted so far this month. One is a demo of my music, and the other is a tribute to a bed. Says quite a bit about my schedule, doesn't it?

"Hoc Vae Mihi Est (demo)"
"Ode to a Beloved Bed"

I wonder what April will bring? We'll see.

Take care, and happy 18th birthday to Daniel. :)

P.S. This is my 100th post. A milestone post about a milestone birthday!

UPDATE: The Uncertain Near Future

As you guys might have guessed, I'm going through plenty of things right now. I'm very close to finishing my senior year, I have finals to do for my college classes, there's tons of things going on with my family in my home state of Texas (let's just say it's a real-life Family Feud if it was a debate club), and I've found out that we may or may not move after all.

I don't know if you guys know this, but I'm in a military family. My step-dad's been in the Army since 2002. From what I can recall, he joined so he could help stop the terrorists in the Middle East (9/11 was recent back then). What this means is that, every now and then, we get orders to move to different military bases. The first move (October 23, 2004) was to Germany, and the second move (August 1, 2007) was to Western Washington. At this point, we have five options.
  1. We stay here.
  2. We go to Arizona.
  3. We go to Connecticut.
  4. We go to Texas.
  5. We wait in Texas for a year while my step-dad is in Korea.
Herein lies the dilemma. I've lived in Washington for so long that it feels like home to me. Heck, I've lived here longer than I've lived in Texas. I almost don't want to move away from here. My neighborhood is by all means safe (the last murder here occurred in 2011, and the worst crime usually committed here is theft) and affluent (most of the people here are rich white folks who have white-collar jobs). I can't say the same for my hometown because my old neighborhood, while sleepy, is by all means poorer than my current one (most people who live there have blue-collar jobs).

At the same time, Texas is my home state. It's where I spent a good chunk of my childhood, and it's where all of my earliest memories live. Say what you want about my hometown, but I will love it for as long as I live. It may be a poor little city outside of Houston that nobody knows, but it's my poor little city outside of Houston that nobody knows. No matter what, I will always see myself as a small town boy.

If you're wondering about the family feud thing, I'm afraid I'll have to keep that mostly under wraps. All you need to know is that it directly involves me and an old house that everyone wants.

This dilemma gets closer and closer with every passing moment. I've had way too much to think about lately, and that's why I haven't been making as many videos lately. I know you guys understand, though, and I'm grateful to have fans as patient as you have proven to be.

Thanks for reading, and, as always, take care. :)

Racism Rant Addendum

It's no surprise that I needed to talk about this some more, especially since it's Black History Month and that stories about black oppression are told to the umpteenth degree. Not that it's a bad thing, but I think we also need histories of other cultures to be celebrated. We need a World History Month.

Anyway, I've decided to add on to my Racism rant that I did in December. This won't be the last time you hear me talk about it. I just wanted to quell your hunger for me to make another rant.

Take care, and think about the future instead of the past.

Good News and Other News

On Monday, my mom will take me to Best Buy to get my laptop screen fixed. I know you're all sick of hearing about it, especially since I broke it almost a year ago, but you won't hear about it anymore after Presidents' Day.

As you may or may not already know, this year will mark my 18th year of existence. Also, today marks YoungBlood's 23rd year of existence. Be sure to wish him a happy birthday and Valentine's day.

No Valentines for me this year. Oh, well.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Another Composition

This is something I composed around November 2014. It was inspired by the game Yume Nikki (夢日記 or ゆめにっき).

I'm not very well known on my channel for my music, but I just wanted to share things that I've composed with all of you. I want to hear what you guys think of my music. At least you guys get it for free!

A New Piece of Music

Yes, for those who are unaware, I am a part-time musician. I play the trumpet at my high school, I've almost mastered music theory, and I compose music in my free time. This is one of those compositions that I felt like sharing with you.

"Organum No. 2 in C Minor"

Enjoy, and take care. :)

P.S. I had to re-upload Par-Can't because of a glitch that Daniel pointed out to me when he was watching the video. Inexplicably, it switched to a behind the scenes look at the making of Jack Mikhov's entrance. What's odd is that it wasn't even in the original!

DOTOF S3 is Here!

I know this is a tad bit late.

The entirety of Series 3 was posted on January 29 shortly after I finished editing Episodes 2 and 3. Here are all the episodes.

On a side note, I'm doing a lot better now. While I am still a tiny bit sick, it's nothing more than a cough now. I might completely recover by this time next week.

Anyway, thanks for staying tuned for Series 3. It was quite an experience making it!

Take care. :)

So, I got sick...

I've come down with what I suspect to be a fever. I've been sick since Monday. The reason why I have the fever is because I ate some Toblerone chocolate. Here's the thing; it expired on November 20, 2013, only 3 days before I posted the first part of the Barney review series. Yeah. Great job, SpaceGuru5! Frickin' moran...

How I got the expired Toblerone is another story. At my college, we have a supplementary course known as SI Sessions. The sessions help us in English class, which is a class that I'm notorious for either failing or barely scraping by.

On Monday, our host Mason had us play "Grammar Games," in which we were supposed to point out grammatical errors in sample sentences. If we got it right without the hint, we got 2 points. If we got it right and explained the error, we got 3 points. If we got it right with the hint, we got 1 point. I ended up winning with 20 points.

The prize? The old Toblerone bar that I made the horrible mistake of eating.

I had four bits of it before I noticed I was getting sick. Little did I know that it would get even worse.

I'm still fighting this fever. My eyes are on fire, my head feels light, my throat's burning, and I'm extremely lethargic. If you didn't know better, you'd say I was drunk. (But I'm not, so STFU)

I think it's getting better, albeit very slowly. It's off and on, so there are times I feel mildly woozy, and there are other times where I feel like I got off a high-speed carousel.

I'm trying not to let my illness control me. Please don't consider this my final message, because I'm sure I'll be better again either tomorrow or by the end of the week.

I may be down, but I'm not out.

Take care, and PLEASE don't eat expired chocolate.

DOtOF S3 is Still Underway...

Production's been slow. Time's been limited, supplies are limited, and my laptop screen is still broken. However, it may not be for much longer; my mom said that we could probably get it in to be repaired on the 30th. I certainly hope we will!

Dan and I have been making the most out of the least. We've been trying to get S3 done for the past few weeks. As of right now, Episodes 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are completed. I completed 4 and 5 before posting this.

Please be patient. It'll only be for a little while longer.

Thanks. :)

Reminder

Today is the LAST DAY you can ask questions on the Q&A. After today, the Q&A session will be officially closed. Act now while you still can!

Take care, and happy Ides of January! :)

Thursday, January 1, 2015

I'll be doing a reading soon.

I'm going to make this one brief.

Last night, Daniel and I experienced something horrid. I can't go into details here, but I've already posted what happened on four sites. You can read it here:

DeviantART
Furaffinity
Creepypasta Wiki
SOG Wiki

That's all I'll say for now. Take the events in whatever sense you must.

Happy 2015!

So, 2015 is here now (for us here on the American West Coast, that is). It has yet to arrive for some people, while others have lived in 2015 for several hours. Still, 2015 is finally here. Let's make it a good one!

Reminder: The Q&A session will be open from now until January 15, so don't forget to ask me stuff!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to dress as Griff Tannen.
